Shigeo Kawasaki is a landscape architect with over 28 years of professional experience in the field of landscape architecture in New York City and Tokyo. Prior to launching SKULD, he accrued over 20 years of NYC construction experience working for Thomas Balsley Associates (SWA Balsley), where he played a leading role in a wide range of urban landscape architectural projects—from small courtyards and large urban public plazas to private commercial campuses and large waterfront parks, such as Riverside Park South and Hunter’s Point South Park. Representative projects include Radio Park, Morgan Post Office, Gotham West, SKY, Summit, 51 Astor Place, Kasumigaseki Building Plaza, and InterContinental Hotel NYTS, among many others. He has many years of experience working on NYC public plaza [Privately Owned Public Spaces (P.O.P.S.)] projects, contributing to securing DCP approvals. He is solid in technological and project coordination skills.
